Although the private "Bales" are very popular, as they allow you to watch the sea / world pass by and catch every last breath of cool ocean breezes. The large villa verandahs are extremely popular too. An area which leads out from each villa's kitchen via large sliding teak & glass doors. Here a bench (of course padded, with Sunbrella material, and with Thai style corner cushions) runs along the front and side wall. It is a wonderful place for a private daytime siesta / nap. Plus a great place for the children to play one of the many board games we have in our kiddies "library".

A solid teak table (and we mean solid - where else have you seen such thick wood these days) is a perfect place to enjoy a drink, without worrying so much about falling backwards with excess into the ponds! Or for playing chess (we have one of the finest carved wood chess sets in Bali) or cards. Of course, also, it is also a great alfresco nook to relax out of the sun and read a book.
